Members overwhelmingly confirmed that blurry vision and fluctuating eyesight are common fibromyalgia symptoms, with many sharing that they've needed frequent prescription updates, struggle with night driving, and experience eye pain, light sensitivity, and heavy or sore eyes that worsen during fatigue flares. Several members offered practical strategies, including checking medications for vision side effects, using lubricating eye drops for dry eyes, taking lutein and zeaxanthin supplements to support eye health, and seeking care from an ophthalmologist rather than just an optometrist for more specialized evaluation. A recurring theme was frustration over the unpredictable nature of fibro-related vision changes, the connection between fibromyalgia and nervous system deterioration affecting the eyes, and the importance of not dismissing symptoms as normal when they significantly impact daily life and safety.

Definitely worth seeing your optometrist about that or get a referral for an opthamoligist rather than optometrist

As I am also diabetic, I have my eyes tested yearly; I have been supplementing with Lutein with Zeaxanthin for a couple of years now, and my eyesight continues to stay well. My wife's eyesight was progressively going downhill until I finally got her taking that supplement too; although it hasn't fully restored her eyesight, it has halted the downward spiral, and even improved a little. Hoping that you find some relief, and your eyesight improves...blessings...oGre

First ladies check your meds, even if you've been on them awhile, your body will let you know if its had enough of whatever. My vision dropped greatly because of one of the antidepressants I was taking. Had been on it nearly 2 mo. When things started getting a but, well, dark. Like all the light bulbs were 3ways and they were just on low. When I talked to my dr. They sent me to my optometrist. She is the one that suggested I talk to my dr about backing down and off the med to check it out. Sure enough after about 2 1/2 months things started looking brighter. Not everything is good for everyone, and let's face facts, meds, for us, dont always get the results hoped for.

It's fibro and the nerves at the back of the eye
