Last night, my husband and I went to one of our favorite little Italian restaurants for our anniversary dinner. And everything tasted bland, like nothing... We've been to this place a few times before and it's so yummy. So I know it wasn't the cooking. I really hope fibro doesn't take my taste buds away! Has this happened to you? If so, how did you know it was fibromyalgia?
Yes I believe it does. Actually fibro can affect any part of your body since its an disorder of the autoimmune system. I have experienced it from time to time. I have also felt my whole body desythesized like there is no sensation. O couldnt smell and feel the air sometimes.
I think that the physical pain along with anxiety can turn you off food
Just wait until you flare...eat something that you know and like and then wait until your not hurting as much. I found that my taste does change. Sounds are incredibly loud, light hurts my eyes. Smells are too strong.
I think the fibro flare can cause the whole body to go out of whack ..
I am sensitive to temperature changes (Raynaud's), lights, smells, sounds and touch. I just never would've thought my taste buds would be affected too.. 😣
