Has Anyone Had Weightloss Surgery And Did It Help With Symptoms
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

I'm having weightloss surgery next month, my surgeon said it should give me some relief from my symptoms. Has anyone experienced this?

I had the lap band and then had to have it removed (it was twisted) they did a gastric sleeve.. I cannot really say that the weight loss changed my symptoms. It seems the only thing that helps me is to only do enough things during the day to not overdo.

I was 118 lbs when I got it now older and like 25 lbs more I haven't noticed a difference but I could afford to lose a bit lol

Hi, it's not that weight causes fibro it just makes symptoms much worse because of the strain extra weight puts on the body.( allegedly) ....I'm not sure....but I know I'll be better off 50 lbs lighter anyways...
