My back for example was so horribly itchy a couple of nights ago that I couldn’t even sleep or lay down comfortably. Lotion & hydrocortisone didn’t help one bit. After a couple of hours of stratching with a pen, comb, brush & anything else that I got my hands on. I finally decided to try Benadryl.
Thank U God, because it worked!!! I thought I was going to lose my mind! It was literally a bit painful itch & I was scratching my back all up.

Members connected over the maddening experience of intense, unexplained itching across the scalp, arms, back, and other areas, sharing the desperate search for relief through back scratchers, Benadryl, and even scissors. Several members found some comfort in Epsom salt baths with baking soda and lavender, while others described the sensation as feeling like ants crawling or biting, nerve endings snapping and burning, or an itch so deep nothing could reach it. A recurring theme was the frustration of scratching to the point of leaving marks or sores, the possibility that fibromyalgia or pain medications may be contributing factors, and the relief of knowing others understand this miserable and isolating symptom.

I have the itching on my arms, at first I thought that I was just getting sunburn but then I've started to get it in the back of the head. I swear that sometimes I feel like there are little ants biting me even though there isn't.

that is your nerve endings, and sometimes it feels like they snap and burn. My dad had that years and years ago. We used to make fun of him because he thought he had bugs, but there was nothing there. I now believe I got the Fibro from my fathers side of the family.
