Members validated the original poster's experience of feeling unexplained itching and crawling sensations all over their skin, with the overwhelming consensus being that this phenomenon is a common symptom of fibromyalgia caused by overactive or hypersensitive nerves. Several members shared practical strategies they use to manage these sensations, including oatmeal baths, Eucerin lotion, taking Benadryl before bed to calm the skin enough to sleep, and tracking whether certain times of year like allergy season or heat make symptoms worse. A recurring theme was relief and solidarity in discovering that this unsettling symptom is not imagined but rather a recognized part of living with fibromyalgia, with many expressing gratitude for finally feeling less alone and less like they were going crazy.

I break out in severe hives 3-5 times a year. So bad that at one point I poured clorox on them to try and dry them out. Eventually had to take medicine because they were internal and externial Hope this helps.

I have had that as well. Not bad though. I'm glad to hear that it seems to be a common fibro thing. Sometimes I feel that I'm going crazy!
