First off I love your nickname. I have been reading a lot about fibromyalgia lately. I have read that after having fibromyalgia you can have hypersensitivity to pain. I have had this happen to me because everything seems to hurt a lot more than it use to. I now get very bad headaches instead of just a regular headaches that I use to have and could function with.

I have had to have back surgery and neck surgery in the past six years due to hereditary issues, my fibro has changed as I have gotten older and I seen to have longer recovery and more pain. But I guess you will have to decide if a longer recovery time will help you on the long run. I hope this helps. And hugs to you..

I had a breast reduction six weeks ago. I was in a lot of pain for four weeks now so much better. If you rest and listen to your body it eill be fine. Get everything sorted before surgery, food shopping, cleaning etc. It will be worth it in the end. I had a breast reduction because i had a macsetomony and wanted to be a bit even. You can do this.x

When I saw a neuro- surgeon, he confirmed that I have DDD in my neck. He told me that if it becomes bothersome, I should see someone, but he said that by me having fibro, surgery would not be a good bc of the inflammation that would occur after surgery. More pain from fibro. I wanted to get a tummy tuck but, I guess a girdle would have to do. LOL! Good luck!!

@A MyFibroTeam Member. I had surgery on my neck because of 3 herniated disk in my neck back in 2000. Still now I have so much pain between my neck, shoulders, head collar bones. They are the places I get the most pain. Between the fibro. and osteoarthritis is all above ans below tbe area between c-3 to c-5. But has for breast reduction or any surgery to my breast no can't tell ya. I m a 42 D cup and have been all my life. I will not go thruogh anymore surgeries . Wish you the best.
