Ive had sinus issues for years now and only diagnosed with Fibromyalgia a few months ago. Just read an article that these two issues are linked, is it true ?

Members shared mixed experiences when asked if sinusitis is truly linked to fibromyalgia, with many describing years of chronic sinus infections, excessive drainage, and multiple surgeries that occurred either before or around the time their fibromyalgia symptoms became noticeable. Several members expressed frustration that doctors often dismiss or minimize their sinus issues, leaving them to manage burning throats, nausea from phlegm, and painful inflammation on their own. A recurring theme was curiosity about the potential connection, with members eager to learn more while acknowledging that not everyone with fibromyalgia experiences sinus problems.

I have had sinusitis, with horrible drainage which makes my throat burn and sore plus have some spots on my tonsil. For the past 3 years. I have had fibromyalgia for the past 18 years. Been to the ENT.. Doctor and she just said it's just a bad irritation. Doctors have no clue what we go through each and everyday.

Very interesting because now that I think of it...my fibro symptoms became very noticeable right around the same time as my first sinus surgery. In the first surgery, they said the openings to my sinuses were to small so they didn't drain properly, causing infection. The second surgery though was to remove some of the turbinates and also to fix a deviated septum...

Can't say 100% that they are linked, but I have had 2 sinus surgeries and have also had sinus issues most of my life...
