I have just learned my hyper immune system is what probably caused my fibro and rapid spread of arthritis. Im just wondering if anybody else has had this diagnosis and if so what stage if any is your arthritis at and how bad may it get.

Members explored the question of whether anyone had been diagnosed with a hyper immune system, with the original poster sharing that their rheumatologist linked this condition to both fibromyalgia and rapid arthritis progression after reviewing their medical history, bloodwork, and the unusual pattern of never catching colds or viruses. Several members connected over shared experiences with autoimmune disorders, high inflammatory markers, severe joint pain, fatigue, and the difficulty of managing multiple conditions with countless medications, while others discussed related concepts like overactive immune systems, leaky gut theories from books like The Autoimmune Solution, and conditions such as Mastocytosis that can trigger fibromyalgia. A recurring theme was the exhausting physical and emotional toll of living with chronic illness, the importance of continuing to advocate for oneself with doctors, and the comfort found in leaning on faith and supportive community connections during the hardest days.

There's a book called The Autoimmune Solution by Amy Myers MD that I am reading right now. She believes a lot of autoimmune diseases are caused by a broken down immune system. This causes leaky gut and is what causes the autoimmune disorders. I have found the book very interesting and I think in May I am going to start her diet and see what happens. I found her book, because I know that I have food allergies to legumes and I knew I felt better when I cut out gluten but never knew the connection. She explains the connection. It might be worth a read.

Google over active immune disorder it will give you all the info you need to know. The rhuematologist said hyper immune system disorder they are both the same thing. The bodys immune system attacks the body mistakenly, they now know in a lot of fibro patients this is the main trigger for the disease.
