Tonight I had an embarrassing moment when I made a phone call to change one of my Grandson’s swimming lessons. When they asked me his name I just couldn’t think what is was. It took me nearly a minute to remember what it was.

Members rallied around someone embarrassed by forgetting their grandson's name during a phone call, overwhelmingly reassuring them that fibro fog and memory lapses are common experiences they all share. Several members described their own frustrating moments, including mixing up grandchildren's names and birthdays, forgetting words mid-sentence, nearly pouring boiling water in the wrong place, and even climbing into a stranger's car by mistake. A recurring theme was the importance of self-compassion, using tools like planners and whiteboards to stay organized, and asking loved ones for patience and support rather than frustration when memory fails.

Yes its called fibro fog, it happens when you start to fatigue so dont worry just relax. It happens to us all, i tried to pour a boiling kettle of water in my cupboard yesterday instead of my teacup, lol and frequently forget things, keep a note of things on a pad you can refer to it does help.
