Did Anyone Else's Fibro Come On Quickly And Get Really Bad Fast?
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

I had started to get headaches and a really painful neck in July of last year. before that I only had mild asthma and mild essential tremor in my hands. By October I had really bad fibro to the point I had to quit working, driving, & I now rarely leave the house. I've had muscle pain, weakness, spasms, burning nerve pain in my skin, heat/cold intolerance, loud noises bother me, internal tremors, numbness, burning eyes, intense head pressure, & insomnia. I'm just curious because it seems like so… read more

Mine came on rather quick I would say. One day I was fine, the next I woke up and had no range of motion in my neck and severe pain. Over a course of a couple of weeks/months it spread through my body. I've continued to have other health issues that pop up that I think are all related. I also have head pressure daily, it is the worst! As a mom of young children, my heart goes out to you b/c I see that you do as well based on your profile pic.

When I first got sick it was like I had gotten food poisoning or something. Within a week I had chronic migraines and was sleeping 16-20 hours a day. A lot of tests, specialists, treatment and 4 years before I had a diagnosis, by which point I had been forced to part-time. I worked for almost 8 years before things consistently were bad enough I couldn't work. By 10 years, I had lost my driver's license and everything.

people say take your time and try to conserve your energy but it,s hard when you have children! STAY STRONG .....try to enjoy your children best you can, they won,t be young forever!!! unlike fibro is lifelong unfortunately

Thanks for all the responses. I'm trying my best to make it through each day and hoping I'll have some better days with the right meds/lifestyle changes. & yep I do have 3 children who need a mom & I've been really struggling not being able to do the things I used to do & extremely heart broken having to miss out on the kids activites. I wish there was a cure instead of having to deal with a lifetime of medications & side effects

6 years ago i made the complaint to my endocrinologist about numness in my calf sent for a emergency ultrasound 0 issues. Year later stull numb n pain starting sent for another ultrasound still nothing. Spinal mri ordered and dianosed with spinal arthritis lumbar n neck with degeneration of the lumber also. 6 months later dianosed with chronic pain syndrome and then 18 point fibro.
Live in daily pain and there are now days that i cant even walk half a block before i feel like i have something being burned into my back that can prevent me from even being able to move my legs to any degree and the pains through the roof that i can scream from the amount of pain.
