Members widely shared experiences of burning sensations throughout their bodies, most commonly in feet, legs, arms, and spine, with many describing the feeling as unbearable during flares and often accompanied by temperature spikes lasting hours. Several members offered practical relief strategies, including cool baths with Epsom salts, flexible ice packs wrapped in towels, Voltarol or Salonpas patches, ibuprofen or paracetamol, magnesium citrate, and medications like Lyrica and Gabapentin for more severe cases. A recurring theme was learning to manage expectations and accept bed rest as essential, with many members acknowledging that while some remedies provide temporary comfort, the burning often must simply be endured until it passes.

Yes, very common for some fibro sufferers. I take paracetamol and find exercise helps although it hurts.

If Lyrica and Gabapentin don’t work. I am on a combination dose between the two. They offset each other in terms of side effects. I like Gabapentin, because it helps with bibpolar like symptoms and pain. Lyrica helps with pain, but makes me real tires. Hence I take both at low doses. Lyrica at night and lunch so it does not affect me while drivihg. I try Magnesium Citrate. Its a powder you put in a drink. If all else fails, then bed rest.

Honestly I have to use meds no matter what. It got unbearable, and I had to work to support my self and my insane medical expenses each year.

Bed rest is essential.

Usually if I have burning it's being aggravated by an irritated nerve in my spine, I put Salonpas patches on either side of my spine in the area that would branch out into the area that is burning.
