Have you heard of interstitial cystitis? I think that's what it's called. It's a pain syndrome of the bladder. Or there is Vulvadynia which I've had and that can also cause pain in the bladder. It is another mystery illness unfortunately. My mother also had issues with this and it was due to low estrogen. An estrogen topical cream took care of it.
@A MyFibroTeam Member P.S. I also cannot watch a lot of the news, I get too bummed out. I do see & hear of some news, and don't want to be ignorant either, but some of us just cannot handle the weight of the world. I think we need more shows on TV that focus on good news.
I have worn pads for years. I haven't been diagnosed, but I would say I have an overactive bladder. I laughed so hard at work one day that I had to come home to change my underwear. I wear pads to be safe.
@A MyFibroTeam Member I am also sorry you went through such an awful & painful experience. The doctor was nuts telling you it will only be "pressure". Everyone reacts to pain differently, he should have prepared you better. God bless.
@A MyFibroTeam Member. OMG what a horrible experience! Not sure which seems worse, the symptoms or the cure. I'm saddened that you had to go through that.
Speaking of irritable bladder..... those Depends commercials are ridiculous! When they show the woman walking away and say they cant see the diaper... she must have a lumpy butt. Regardless, i see them in my future. Maybe by then they'll have thinner more absorbant ones. Either that or one of us will have to invent one.
