I have been feeling nervous, I worry too much about stuff.....every so often I will run a bout of IBS or bile spill, charming as it is (no gallbladder) now I have what tastes more like a sour stomach as there is no burning. Do you all get this intermittently with your other symptoms? Geeze it just annoys me! I am doing the best I can...sometimes though you do eat something that upsets that balance. Sometimes, I think this is pill mouth. I am the world's slowest at swallowing pills and my Xanax… read more

Members connected over the frustrating experience of managing IBS, GERD, and digestive issues, particularly for those without a gallbladder who struggle with bile spill and difficulty digesting fatty foods. Several members shared practical strategies that have helped them, including taking ox bile supplements before meals, using medications like Prilosec, Pariet, or omeprazole for acid reflux, trying Imodium for IBS spasticity, staying consistent with Miralax, and identifying and eliminating GERD trigger foods from their diets. A recurring theme was the trial-and-error nature of finding what works for your own body, the connection between stress and digestive flare-ups, and the shared understanding that living without a gallbladder brings unique and often unpredictable challenges.

I get IBS and acidic tummy. I could not survive without pariet and gastro stop. Good luck, hope you can get something where you live. Gentle hugs sent.

Take oxbile everytime right before eating, i dont have a gallbladder and it helped SO much with the bilespill and suff like that you can get it online at vitamine shoppe for like 12 or 15 bucks and it works miracles. My acupuncturist gave me that suggestion so it will probably help you too.

CatO I have no gall bladder either. What an adventurous life we lead lol....so not funny. I take a generic Murilax that the gastro dr put me on and if I keep steady on it I have no problems unless I eat wrong or my nerves are bad. (((hugs)))

I have GERD and IBS from fibromyalgia. I have to take omeprazole everyday. Sometimes if i drink alcohol the next day i may need help from an antacid. I find rhat gavscon chewables work really well.
