I have been clumsy. From spraining my foot, to stepping in holes, to easy to loose my balance. Anyone else have this issue???
Being clumsy is one of my major symptoms. I have partial paralysis and noticed a few years back I was getting clumsier and had to concentrate more doing physical tasks. The neurologist checked me out including a MRI and no reason for it. He did treat me for muscle spacity with baclofen and that solved much of my muscle pain. Last year the pain got worse and included my joints. After ruling autoimmune diseases I got the fibromyalgia diagnosis and treated with cymbalta. The baclofen and cymbalta have keep the pain at a manageable level. The dexterity issues along fog, forgetfulness, and fatigue are my big symptoms.
Yes. I have always been a little clumsy, even as a child, but that was nothing like I am now. I trip over my own feet, stumble or stagger into walls & corners of anything near my path. If I turn around or stand up too fast I tend to loose my balance if I don't pay attention. I've fallen down stairs, several times in my life. I've hit the floor or concrete or whatever more times than I like to admit. Other than some bruises, sprains, scrapes & scratches I've not had any serious injuries. That is until recently. I'm typing this as I am recovering from a broken ankle. I fell in the kitchen. I had been cleaning up something in the pantry. I moved my right leg it slid out from under me (like it gave away), it went one way & my left leg went another way. I dislocated my ankle/foot and broke my ankle in 3 places. This happened on December 29th, I'm still in a cast & will be for a couple more weeks at least & then I transition to a boot. I have fallen 4 times & had my right leg "give away" since I broke my ankle. Luckily it didn't further damage my left ankle or break anything else.
The moral of the story...ALWAYS be aware of where your feet are, make sure your feet are planted flat, and be careful. If that means we have to walk slower so be it. The problem with our legs "giving away", well i'm hoping physical therapy will help with that. Now if I could just follow my own advice it would be great...lol

I started getting “butterfingers” a few years into my diagnosis, and it has progressed to tripping, misplacing things (like meant to set a glass on the table and missed the table!!?🤪) but also cramps and tingling in hands, legs, even tonge and lips. I think this is FM, but i have a referral with a neurologist, probably to rule out MS.
Yep generally clumsy, fingers often don’t want to do simple things like buttons or buckles, I now love Velcro
Yea same here ...I have fallen 3 times in the last 2mths ..now my wrist is messed up.
