I also have tinnitus and it only started in November 2017 and then I was diagnosed with fibro in December 2017. My primary doctor sent me for a hearing test and basically they told me once you have it, it doesn't go away. She said I have to train by brain to ignore it. It doesn't bother me when I'm watching TV or listening to music, but if I'm reading or sleeping it's annoying. I now sleep with a fan on. I also am sensitive to sound due to Fibro.
I have tried them without success, but maybe I didn't take them long enough. I have a white noise machine (one sound is like the waves of the ocean)! Thank you for sharing what helps you. I appreciate it.
I have it too. I didn’t have it until my doctor put me on prescription strength Aleve. After a few days I woke up with it and it has never left. I stopped taking the prescription strength Aleve after the three days. I was so angry that my doctor at the pain clinic suggested I do this. If he didn’t I would never have this. And I told him that Aleve didn’t work on me anyway. So now they have it down on my chart that I’m allergic to it. Because I guess tinnitus is one of the prescription strength side effects. Thanks Doc. No Christmas card for you this year!
