Members overwhelmingly confirmed that vertigo is a common experience alongside fibromyalgia, with many describing frequent falls, balance issues, and dizziness that ranges from occasional episodes to constant spinning sensations even while sitting. Several members shared helpful strategies and diagnoses, including medications like meclizine for dizziness, the Epley maneuver for vertigo relief, and medical findings such as calcium deposits in the ears or Meniere's disease that can explain the symptoms. A recurring theme was the importance of moving slowly to avoid triggering episodes, resting when symptoms intensify, and being cautious about medication combinations that can worsen dizziness.

I had vertigo before, I got diagnosed with fibromyalgia. Vertigo is no fun it comes and goes or lasts for days. My doctor prescribe me meclizine for dizziness and nausea. Vertigo you must be careful with because you can later on develop hearing lost. Depends on the person. I hope you can find some relief hugs 🤗

I have vertigo as well, but I had it before I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia. I had an MRI done on my head, and I have calcium deposits in my ears, most likely due to the frequent ear infections I suffered as a child, and they're causing the vertigo. But mine only happens when I change position quickly (benign positional vertigo), so I guess that's better than having it all the time!
