He told me the ice drops your stomach temp and messes with digestion. All around he said peanuts just are not good for my personal system! Fribo frustrates me. Good luck with the ibs ! I have it too and it is a totally shocking embarassing disease. I take a clean pair of undies and pants with me all the time!
My fibro specialist wanted me to do a food allergy test. My counselor who used to put lemons in her water daily, found out she was allergic to lemon, and basil. Interested to see what foods I'm allergic too. My fibro specialist told me to start eating beets, shiitake mushrooms, curry, dark berries and dark veggies, to help my natural killers, for low immune.
Actually I'm good as long as I stay away from legumes.
I've never heard of eliminating I ice. If you are noticing that this helps your symptoms it's obviously a good idea. But if there's no real difference I would go back to enjoying my ice!
Mine has always been constipation too. As a child I had the worst stomach aches. When I got to college I took a nutrition class where we learned about food allergies. I decided I might be allergic to peanuts. Went to allergy Dr who did a blood test. That was when I found out I was allergic to legumes. 18 years of Drs and not once did they think of a food allergy. I do pretty good as long as I watch the legumes, which means soy lecithin, vegetable oil etc even in canned goods.
