For about 3 mths I've been living with nausea, vomitting, and horrible heartburn. In addition to constant and sometimes take u to the floor kind of pain. I have gerd and the acid changes the dr says have caused damage to my esophagus. Has suggested one more medicine change before referring me for surgery (anti-reflux) but has never given me an explination to my pain. Its bewn so frustrating. Just curious if anyone else has dealt with this

Eliminating all dairy and all gluten including rice has finally removed the nausea and pain in the Bowels! If I cheat and eat ice cream at all, I pay bigbtime with acid reflux again!
I just posted a very similar question. I am sorry you are hurting. Acid reflux is a bitch. What seems to set yours off and are you currently under a great deal of stress? Have they checked your gallbladder? I am assuming you have had an endoscopy and I was wondering if you have Barrett's esophagus as that is what they watch me for. Do you get the burning up into your throat and wake up with what I call Dragon's breath like you could breathe out fire? What meds are you currently on? I am experiencing the pain now in my upper abdomen and it hurts like hell, it can double me over. My gastro just ordered an MRI with a nuclear tracer injection but she is pretty sure it is just IBS coupled with nerves. There is something you can get and it is all natural and will in no way hurt you. I get mine off Etsy and it is powdered, it is called Slippery Elm Bark Powder, I order from the shop called the magic unicorn. I stir a tiny amount like maybe 1/2 tsp into some oatmeal or cream of wheat etc and it will soothe your entire intestinal tract right to the very end. Good to keep on hand. I don't buy capsules although you can, I prefer the product powdered for me to measure. Please feel free to communicate with me. This pain is just awful and my God, you don't want to even leave the house. (((hugs))) x 100
Yes.. i am having the same problems and they recently have done about 7 stool tests to rul things out. Dr is saying more then likely its IBS. Also had my thyroid checked last month and showed my levels were off. Have to do a recheck again in February.
IBS, reflux and heartburn are common. Talk to your doc and try avoiding dairy products. I love ice cream but I pay for it. I also take prilosec and the head of my bed is elevated by about 4 inches. It helps. Good Luck
please get a second opinion before going the surgical route. Are you on any meds for this? HUgs!
