Ok now this is really embarrassing and I can’t believe this has happened twice now and doubtful anyone else has had this happen so here goes

Has anyone dreamt they are on the toilet while in bed asleep and woken up and your urinating??

This happened some time ago and again last night I could not believe it and I actually felt disgusted in myself and sooooo embarrassed 😞

This time it did not actually wet the bed but I did need to change my pyjama bottoms

I truly believed I was on the toilet… read more

Members responded with overwhelming empathy and shared experiences to someone who dreamt they were using the toilet and woke up urinating, reassuring them that this embarrassing situation happens to many in the community and is likely related to deep sleep from medications, muscle relaxers, or weakened bladder muscles. Several members shared practical strategies including wearing pads or protective bedding at night, limiting fluids before bed, seeing a urologist for assessment, and considering that certain medications like muscle relaxers and sleeping aids can contribute to these accidents. A recurring theme was the importance of self-compassion and not feeling ashamed, with many members describing similar daytime and nighttime incontinence challenges, unusual smells only they could detect, and the shared frustration of navigating these deeply personal symptoms while managing chronic illness.

So it sounds like it normal.

I too have recently started to not tell if I'm going to have an accident during my sleep or not! I feel excessively OLD, embarrassed, mad at myself, etc. I also have been having accidents during the day. At night I have a pad/towel on top of my sheet & we're a Depends to sleep. If I leave the house these days I will also wear a Depends. It makes me feel SO SAD :(
