Members expressed mixed feelings about Lady Gaga's fibromyalgia revelation, with many grateful that her high-profile status could raise awareness and validate the reality of the disease, while others worried it might minimize the condition's severity if she continues performing at full capacity. Several members shared deep empathy for her, especially after learning she had cancelled concerts, reflecting on their own painful experiences of giving up beloved activities and careers due to fibromyalgia's progressive limitations. A recurring theme was hope that her visibility would lead to better education, understanding, and eventually more answers for the entire fibromyalgia community.

Any high profile person with fibromyalgia and she has borderline lupus will help get the word out and start educating people. I say thankyou Lady Gaga

I cannot do the things I love to do so my greatest sympathy to LG who's having to cut back her career, and here's to hope that greater visibility of this condition leads to more answers for us.

Not sure how to react to this?? It's great that she is letting people know it is real as others have said, but on the other hand if she really is still performing all the time, that's not so good because we all know that's not possible!! However I guess if she's just in the beginning stages, it may be possible but unfortunately too soon she will not be able to perform so enjoy it while you can! Doesn't matter how much you work out, eat healthy etc, this illness will put you down eventually!!

Yes I agree with you! But at the same time I feel like it can minimize how much fibro can have an impact on someone's life. I can barely walk and she goes out dancing every night. But I'm still really glad that someone of her status can get the word out there that fibro exists and is very real!
