I have nodules under my skin everywhere throughout my body. They are all over my abdomen, in between my thighs, on the side of my hips, and under my under arms. I can't sleep on my sides because it hurts. These swellings feel like subcutaneous nodules. Is this a fibromyalgia symptom? They keep telling me it's just the Lupus, but that is not a Lupus symptom from what I understand ☹. I feel like I have the flu ☹.

And @A MyFibroTeam Member lipoma I've had 11 removed from my lower back on 2 different occasions. They are a fatty tumor, non cancerous but if pressure is put on them, they have a hot burning pain. The lipomas I had removed were 3" long or deep into my back (not what the Dr or the surgeon was expecting) by 3" by 1" in size. I first had 6 removed in March of '93 and they grew back in the same exact place and I had 5 removed in September of '93. My surgeon rold me to pray they dont come back because I wont be able to be cut on there again. I went for years without a reoccurrence until 2014 when two came back. Due to the amount of scar tissue and the location -- no surgeon will touch them and I've been to 3 to ask. I had read an article a couple years ago about lipomas being common in people with FM. You might want to Google that to find out more about it.
Hi @A MyFibroTeam Member, I also have lupus and am experiencing the exact same thing. I have small, oval-shaped nodules all over my lower abdomen. They biopsied one and told me it was a lipoma. Apparently, most people don't have pain from them, but it seems like people with fibromyalgia do. This is a very under recognized symptom, I think.
@A MyFibroTeam Member Yes me 2...It gets so frustrating for doctors not to be able to give you a straight answer.
I have them also but nobody will listen to my concern. They are all along my ribs and pelvic bone and painful to touch.
I personally have never heard of nodules with fibromyalgia until now.
