@A MyFibroTeam Member, I just want you to know that I always enjoy reading your posts on this site. I can tell you are a very caring person with lots of good information and willingness to help people. I appreciate that so much!
The reason why I asked you that question is because I have worked with these doctors for several years and I've never heard of them treating chronic fatigue syndrome. Yes there is a theory that chronic fatigue can be triggered by a virus or bacteria but they don't know for sure. Once you have it, it is not contagious. Usually these doctors are called upon when there is a difficult virus, bacteria, parasite, etc. to deal with that a normal internist needs help with.
Very interesting about your comment. I still keep in touch with a infectious disease physician so I'm really curious and excited to ask him his opinion about this. After I talk to him if you don't mind I will leave a message on your page. I am always open to anything new that I haven't come across yet. Knowledge is power!

Hi, Kelly!
Chronic Fatigue is an Infectious Disease. Other Infections make it more challenging.
A Specialist in this field can figure a patient out, much faster. They order lab, that isn't the "typical" ordered.

Chronic Fatigue, almost, immediately, catches up to Fibromyalgia as its "counterpart".
Fibromyalgia doesn't allow us to produce energy, getting us weak, lethargic, overweight, sleepless, etc.

Also, an Infectious Disease M.D. has an overwhelming amount of research, his and others, and can have personalized meds made for you; compounded in capsules or syringes.

I ALWAYS want to help, so I always recommend Infectious Disease and Sleep Specialists.

You'll be AMAZED just how soon you will be sleeping at all levels of sleep.
With precious sleep, you know you can get back to YOU!

In 2012, FINALLY, I paid
ATTENTION and went to these two Specialists.

I had FMS/CFS since 1996, gained 70-80 pounds, fell constantly, searched for words and phrases, became disinterested, didn't bathe or groom, let the house go to pot, stopped reading, stopped seeing friends, complained of pain 24/7,had a horrible diet, hid from others, etc.

So, in just the past 5 years, I've taken ME back!
I sleep with and without CPAP, I eat healthier, am stretching and exercising lightly, meditating or just staying quiet and still, breathing into my pain, and, even, when I feel depressed, or confused, I book psychologist appointments so that I stay on level ground.

Get this! I had no Fibro pain or Chronic Fatigue on, during, or since my March 20, '17 double jaw and septoplasty surgeries, all in one day!

Imagine, going through 16 ARDUOUS YEARS of deep physical, mental, emotional, and social pain.
Whatever meds other docs prescribed:
I was either "out of it" or never "in it".Years of heavy pain and heavier tears.

I am thrilled to be on this site so that I can help OTHERS get back to good health, much, much sooner than it took me, - - because I simply wouldn't listen because I thought Life had already beat me!

To You, Rest & Relaxation!

Search Board Certified Infectious Disease Specialists. Call those offices and ask if they see Fibro patients and if they need Referral from your Primary and take your insurance. Get scheduled asap.
Good Luck!
