Hi everyone, this question has been asked but there were now answers. This happens to me fairly often. My tongue feels as if it's too big for my mouth, my back teeth rub against it's sides and feel really sharp and jagged (although they're not of course) and I have kind of cratered lines and ulcers along the sides as a result. I can't think what it could be. I do suffer with a very dry mouth and have to drink all the time. I do suffer with oral thrush occasionally when I'm run down too. Please… read more

I know I am going to spell this wrong but Srogren's syndrome does this to your mouth. I get ulcers in my mouth from time to time when I am in a fibro flare.
Have you checked your blood sugar lately? I also get this problem in my mouth from time to time. I am diabetic, so my doctor checked my blood sugar, but it was fine. She said since she'd ruled that out, then it was the Fibro. She told me she could give me a prescription gel to keep my mouth moist, but it wasn't that great and it tasted vile. So now I just sip water and if I'm out I pop a little sugar free sweet ( like a Lifesaver) in my mouth to ease the dryness.
I have had it before but months apart from each other. No new meds. Xx
Is this a new symptom? Or has it been going on for awhile? Have you started any new medications recently?
I've had something similar to the extreme a long time ago and it was an allergic reaction to a medication I was taking! I also recently had a similar situation...but very mild..and I was told it was a side effect of starting Gabapentin...after being on it consistently for 2 months it went away!
I get this as well. I also suffer from dry mouth. I wear a partial n find that I am always pressing my tounge to the roof of my mouth. When not wearing my partial, I feel like my tongue has no room in my mouth.
