I have pretty severe cramping in the muscles all over my body. I get cramps in my thighs, calfs, hips, shoulder even my jaw! I get a lot of tightness in the muscles for a few weeks following a really bad day/night of cramping. What treatment does everyone get for this? Currently my doctor isn't prescribing anything but I don't know how much more I can take I've been taking potassium supplements and I also have a good diet with the vitamins I need but it doesn't help
Try magnesium supposed to help with that, migraines, helps with a lot if fibro symptoms
Light stretching, warm showers, and Biofreeze helps my muscle cramps, as well as Flexeril for any spasms. I do try to eat a banana every day and take a magnesium supplement too.
Try taking 2,000 mg of vitamin D3.......it helps my sore and tender muscles
I take magnesium it helps take care๐
Hi, Magnesium citrate can possibly help: 200 mg per day for example. Take the -citrate form and not the others, because the citrate form it is better absorbed. It relaxes the muscles. It also has a laxative effect. You can also try to eat more magnesium-rich foods. Mg-citrate is also described to relax in times of stress. Don't take it before a meal because it lowers the acidity of the stomach. Take it quite long before or quite long after a meal. Good luck!
