I feel like im losing my mind and have had people that i work with say im crazy (behind my back of course) and my own mother tell my kids im crazy but my kids have also told me this (before she ever even mentioned it to them). Its so hard when you feel like nobody believes you and you feel guilty and like a burden. I cry all the time in public randomly talking to co-workers ect. Am i losing my mind?

Members responded with warmth to someone with fibromyalgia asking if they were losing their mind after facing doubt from coworkers and family. Several members shared that finding the right therapist made a big difference, with some trying more than one before finding a good fit, and others suggesting checking local mental health clinics, Medicaid options, or using Pinterest to help loved ones visualize the condition. A recurring theme was that chronic pain changes a person but does not make them crazy, and that community support, faith, and professional help can all bring real relief.

First of all, you are normal and not crazy. Fibromyalgia is a very complex condition. It causes so much physical havoc that then goes into our emotions. Most people (normal lol) would not be able to function in our shoes. You and I both know it is something we would not wish on our worst enemies. Yes, Pinterest is a wonderful eye opener. Those people you work with......they need to see what it is like on a normal day for us! You are loved!

@A MyFibroTeam Member..no you are not crazy or losing your mind. Talk to a therapist. I've been to a few myself some have helped, some didn't help at all and some needed a therapist themselves. I once asked my husband if I had changed a lot and he answered yes, I wasn't the same person. Having fibro is life changing but you know I can honestly say it can get better. Don't let people knock you down. You are the same wonderful person you've always been . Just right know your a little more fragile. Maybe talk to your dr. To put you on an antidepressant . Stay strong and don't be afraid to talk to God to give you strength . He's there to help us always. I'll keep you in my prayers.

I have a psychiatrist and a psychologist. Best treatment every. Reduces stress, which reduces pain. Get any help you can that's not a script.

Your not crazy some time our own kin judge without the true knowledge or understanding what constant pain feels like because we look normal. It's ok to be crazy just as it is ok to laugh. My favorite saying is laugh or you will cry. As more research and awareness is available about fibro your fam will come around keep your head up😊

Since we look ok on the out side the don't see us on the inside. I gone on Pinterest and look up fibromyalgia. On their they have pictures of how we look on the inside. I finally had something to show my boy friend. I hope this helped
