Members strongly connected over the shared experience of brain fog with fibromyalgia, describing frustrating moments like forgetting family members' names, losing track of conversations mid-sentence, misplacing items in bizarre places, and struggling to complete simple daily tasks. Several members explained that chronic pain occupies so much mental energy that the brain has little capacity left for memory and focus, with one doctor noting that constant pain keeps the mind preoccupied and limits cognitive function. A recurring theme was using humor and self-compassion to cope, with members sharing laugh-out-loud stories of their brain fog mishaps and encouraging one another to be patient with themselves and ask others for understanding and reminders.

A Doctor told me once..that people with a chronic illness..have this problem because.our brain is preoccupied from pain..and limited time to do things..and while we are trying to remember things we are suppose to do..pain is in the fore front of our thoughts...it makes sense to me..every minute of the day..I am wondering when I can sit down..relieve the pain..so much so ...sometimes I do not even hear another person talking to me..I am thinking about relieving my pain....like hurry up and finish this conversation..because I am in so much pain....I feel bad.not really listening properly...but I am so tired and in pain it happens a lot..it seems its survival skills needed.so we can take care of our self...it is major important..and only we can help ourselves..gentle hugs your way..
