Why Us?
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

Today i was on another fibro site and some ppl were saying they think that stress is the cause of fibro. Or like a traumatic experience. If so I should have been like this sooner....smh. Do y'all think it is a traumatic experience or stress?

@whyus (yes) I was told by a fibro specialist it was a traumatic experience. My life was rough I was physically abused -bullied- mentally abused as well. I have been in major car wrecks . I am not sure when ?? I just took Ibuprofen constantly for the pain, I had to work. When I was diagnosed with Fibro I thought my doctor was a quack. I left his practice to find out what was wrong with me. I was diagnosed again fibro. Since then 2 more times.

I had Epstein Barr virus in 2004, chronic fatigue and had 4 months off work. From then on it was all downhill. I had a cortisone injection in my hip and my face got bigger and bigger over 3 weeks. My dr thought I had Cushing disease but was the opposite. The finale came when I collapsed at work and was diagnosed with adrenal failure.

Wow, I wonder if it's from a whiplash. Our neck is connected to the central nervous system, and all down the spine. Ive had whiplash. Hmmm.
God Bless you,
