Does excercise really help? If so, what's a good excercise plan?

I do go to a pool just to walk in it and that is the only exercise i can tolerate at the moment but it does help and the pool is heated so even in winter I can go do this. it does help a bit

We need exercise in some form or we lock up and get too tight which causes more pain..stretching is a minimum..add in some stregthening while you are doing that..i had an old ankle injury that makes walking hard for exercise..so i bought an indoor bike for winter..i had fallen badly a few weeks back..and am getting some gentle therapy to help me get back to my normal.

I walk but only about one mile and I don't walk fast. Exercising in a pool is also good as it takes weight off of your joints.
