Hi everyone, I am struggling right now, I have had Fibro and other health problems as long as I can remember, I was not diagnosed until I was around 22 and I have never been able to keep a job, so I do not qualify for disability. My husband already works his booty off and I cant mentally or physically afford for him to work 2 jobs. We need some kind of extra income to live on. Members responded warmly to someone struggling to find work with fibromyalgia, offering creative paths to flexible income that accommodate unpredictable symptoms and energy levels. Several members suggested home-based options like direct sales companies (Avon, Mary Kay), freelance work, selling handmade items on Etsy, pet sitting, or creating a self-run business where you control your own schedule and can rest when needed. A recurring theme was the importance of identifying personal skills and passions first, then building income around what you can realistically sustain, with encouragement to explore disability benefits and financial assistance programs that might provide additional support.

I created my own business out of something I love and since I'm the boss, I don't fire myself and I can tell myself to take a nap LOL

Short shifts on alternate days at your best time of day. I think if and when I go back to work I would do it that way

A lot of companies like Avon, epicure, it works, Mary Kay needs representatives and you can work mostly from home and set your own schedule.

If you can do something part-time from home, freelance, if you are good at writing you could try self-publishing, pet sitting, I know what you mean. I struggle with the same issue. I'm very fortunate to have a part-time work-from-home job right now.

Make, sell on etsy, dog walking, house sitting...what can you do and sell that. Good luck 💜💜
