Does Anyone Else Experience Weird "patches" In Their Legs?
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

For the last 2 days, I have experienced areas of numbness, extreme pain, tingling, and burning spots on both legs. On 3 separate occasions, my husband has had to help me stand! I feel weak and unbalanced, as if my legs are jello.

I know I'm in the midst of a flare-up, but it's a new symptom for me. Previously, my legs have only hurt before with the tingles being specific to my feet, reminding me of what I imagine neuropathy to feel like. Anyone else had this problem?

@RachelKaiser-OMG - A week ago today I tried to get out of bed. My legs felt like rubber. I always sleep with a cane near the beside because -all of a sudden - -my legs are joining in to give me problems besides all the other areas of the body that ordinarily hurt. The weakness was horrible. I managed to use the cane and hold onto furniture as I went to the bathroom. Plus my left foot was swollen.

This "stupid"illness is so unique - - it seems to attack every part of the body at different times. It's no wonder people (and I include doctors) do not know how to treat us, Even for us - -it's a daily education

Be sure to read all the messages that people post. Many of the things that we wonder about - -if we post them - - we will find others have had the same thing.

Thank God we are all in this together--imagine if we did not have this web site we would all think we were losing our minds. This web site has actually been a Blessing to me.

When ever you feel something strange - -don't be afraid to ask - -we are in the Fibromyalgia World together and here to help one another out.

A THOUGHT FOR TODAY: Duty makes us do things well - -but love makes us do hem BEAUTIFULLY!!!

I too have tingling in both of my feet. I've noticed that when it rains, the pain is very unbearable. My husband has to help me stand too. It makes me feel like an invalid not being able to do the things that I used to do. But, he seems to understand that I'm in pain and he does his best to help in any way that he can.

I don't know if this is anything like what you mentioned or even related to Fibro etc but... for years I've had this thing come up, especially when I've moderately exerted myself or more. It's an area on my right thigh, about where the pocket would sit... it buzzes and trembles visibly on and off, as though there's an incoming call on a mobile phone in my pocket with the sound off and the vibration turned right up... only I know it's not my phone because that's always been on the left... because I can only hear in my left ear so left hand uses the phone and anyway I'm OCD about pocket content placement, the same things have gone in the same pockets for years (phone and e-cig on the left, wallet and spare ibuprofen/cocodamol on the right, my keys at back right, keys to mums house back left etc) Weird huh?
I do get similar kind of things elsewhere from time to time but not nearly as much or as strong. Still fools me though... and I reach for the phone on my right... lol.
