Members responding to the question about whether fibromyalgia pain is constant or intermittent overwhelmingly shared that they experience pain daily, though the severity fluctuates based on factors like weather, stress, and activity level. Several members noted that cold, wet weather and seasonal changes tend to trigger worse flares, while a few experience slightly better periods in warmer months, though heat and humidity can also bring exhaustion and new challenges. A recurring theme was the critical importance of staying active despite the pain, with members strongly encouraging daily stretching and movement to prevent muscle atrophy and maintain quality of life, even if it's just five minutes a day.

I read that fibromyalgia was not progressive I think that this could be wrong, I was having symptoms of fibromyalgia for about 4 years but nothing like they are now.Iv been in pain daily for the past 3 months and it's not going away this time.

I also used to just be the most painful in the winter and before my diagnosis of Fibro, my doctor thought I was a seasonal depressant!! Now I have the pain all year round which really sucks because I love being outdoors in the summer

I've read that if fibro. is not treated that it can then go into osteoarthritis, which I have also.
