Blood Test
Having bloods done tomoz is there anything in particular they will test for to see if I've fibro?
@A MyFibroTeam Member not true. There is a blood test -- called FM/a -- that identifies markers produced by immune system blood cells in people with fibromyalgia. One study showed the test can also help distinguish fibromyalgia from other conditions that can have similar symptoms, such as rheumatoid arthritis or lupus. I think it's primarily in USA tho n is expensive.
I hope they can get a diagnosis. I think my dr was sick of seeing me in her exam in tears since I'm normally (apparently) a bubbly person- which is weird cause she would only see me with sinus infections lol. So she was happy when she found it was fibromyalgia n she had other patients so had some advice
My Dr. Said they test for lupus and Ms. if they are negative then it is fibromyalgia .
Look on line for the 18 pressure points of fibromyalgia you could diagnosis yourself but you should never diagnose yourself but you will know
There is no testing chemically. The only way Dr's diagnosis now is BTW touching these certain 18 pressure points on your body if you have at least 11 they say it's fibromyalgia I jump before my Dr even touches me cause I know it's gonna hurt
What Lab Tests Are Ordered For Fibro By Doctors. My Rheumatologist Is Retiring And He Has Never Done A Single Blood Test.
