I use an air matress so I can adjust the firmness depending on how I feel. Springs make me hurt something awful. I've been using it for over 20 years (and I've had fibro for 25 years give or take) It was even paid for partially by my insurance because my doctor prescribed it because people with fibro have so much trouble sleeping on spring matresses. (I didn't know he could do that until HE mentioned it)
I use a 5 inch pillow topper which goes under the fitted sheet. So I am sleeping on soft down on top of a regular mattress and then we have a duvet on top.
I've always had mattress with box spring and I don't sleep well I toss and turn. I want to try a memory foam mattress.
I have regular innerspring mattress but a pure wool magnetic underlay - which doesn't sound as superb as a 5 inch mattress topper - I never thought magnets did much but recently I housesat for someone for 2 weeks n omg the hardest lumpiest bed. My bed feels like it try's to hug me when I'm in pain but that bed was aweful, I couldn't sleep n woke so sore when sore usually hits after a few minutes of waking with my bed
My husbands and I have a King size regular mattress and boxsprings. I very rarely sleep on it, because it makes me hurt. I sleep in my recliner most nights. We just lucked up on a Full size air mattress (sleep number) bed. The Lord definitely blessed us. We haven't put it up yet. I have been battling Fibromyalgia for 21 years. My Pain Management doctor is node yearning me for Lupus. Keep me in your prayers.
