Can you take Celebrex if allergic to sulfa drugs?
It is not a sulfa drug but shares a molecule that is the same. It is recommended to not use it if you are allergic to sulfa drugs.
I did and they said it was ok just to watch for signs of allergic reaction Thanks so much @A MyFibroTeam Member How are you my friend?
@A MyFibroTeam Member, I'm allergic to Sulfa, but have had no problems while taking Celebrex. But, as MsFuffy said, best to check with your Doc..
Thank u everyone I am so upset and discouraged because I had to stop my coated Aleve due to stomach pain I worry I won't find anything else that will work I have fraud so many anti inflammatory drugs Aleve works so well๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ
I use to take celebrex & never had any issues even though I'm allergic to Septra which is a sulfa antibiotic. Everyone reacts differently so I'd talk to the Dr & decide if it's too risky to try or not. Hopefully this will help.
