Hello Everyone! I have a question. Does anyone have issues trying to conceive? Do you think that there could be some ties to the FM? It may be a silly question but I thought I would ask.

I have been trying for over 6 years and no such luck. During this time My FM has inclined as well. Thanks for all the answers in advance.

Members shared mixed experiences about fibromyalgia and fertility, with some describing how pregnancy complications or endometriosis triggered or worsened their symptoms, while others successfully conceived despite these challenges. Several members emphasized the importance of working closely with doctors, addressing both physical health through diet changes (removing dairy, gluten, and processed foods) and mental health through therapy, while also managing the emotional toll of infertility and chronic illness. A recurring theme was the need for faith, self-care, and realistic consideration of whether one can manage both fibromyalgia symptoms and the demands of raising a child, with members offering both hope and honest reflections about the long-term challenges of living with chronic pain.

@A MyFibroTeam Member thank you for sharing! I had no idea that there was a link between endometriosis and fibromyalgia.

The brochure my rheumatologist gave me wrote about the possibility of a link with endometriosis and fibromyalgia.
This was a light switch for me. Mine was severe. I was fortunate that I had an excellent surgeon who spent 10 hours working on me. Crazy. But he said he kept looking at me as a little girl and he felt he had to help me. Didn't even know how he had the strength to keep going. But he said as long as I was doing ok, he kept working one inch at a time. All other surgeries that day ended up rescheduled.
I was given a 50 percent chance of having a child if I did it in the next 2 years. Crazy for an 18 yr old to hear. I got pregnant and had a baby at 19. It was hard. I had all these plans in life. But I never knew how much I wanted a baby until I almost couldnt.
Had a new doc not come to town and get me the referral to the ob/gyn who did the surgery.... I wouldn't have my 3 kids today. I wish all well with fertility issues, and that they can have the luck I did. God's hand in that.

Good question! I couldn't have children but for me it was due to severe endometriosis. On a positive note though, most women in here were able to concieve & have children. I am assuming that after 6 years of trying, you have or are working with a doctor. I wish you the best of luck & will pray🌹

It is also about timing, like you said. Sometimes we want things but it's just not the right time. I gather you are still you and God has the final say. Sounds like you have a regimen going. Do the meds help you? Diet and exercise are major components to finding relief with fibro. Removing dairy, gluten, red meat, processed foods and refined sugar are key. I incline you to really out your trust in moreover the doctors and the things in the world. Focus on your healing love, put God first and all will fall into place for you. ❤
