I have a hard time standing and cooking and I'm not sure what to do. If it was just me a can of soup would be fine but that just wouldn't due for my boyfriend. How do you guys manage cooking or not, what do you do?

I find it also very helpful, now that summer is coming and salads are more popular in the heat, to prepare a lot in advance. I will chop the lettuce and leave in a bowl with a lid. Then I will get smaller containers and chop a bunch of celery in one, cucumber in another, cheese cubes in another etc so there is enough for multiple meals!! It makes life so much easier to just throw all the bowls on the table and let each person make their own salad then pack them up til dinner again tomorrow! It will take a bit of time originally but well worth it!!!
I separated from my husband 4 years ago, I had 40 years of verbal, emotional
abuse. He informed me that he didn't believe in fibromyalgia. So I knew he wasn't going to take care of me. He was just mean to me and had too much control over me. I waited until my children were raised and established their own lives before. I left and I did ask them if they wanted me to find my own place and live with me in their childhood and they said no it would be to hard pick who to live with because they loved both of us. I stayed with my husband for my children. During our marriage I begged my husband for us to go to marriage counselor several times, he refused every time
Theres lots of utensils you can use in the kitchen if you have problems with your hands/lifting etc. In the uk we have medequip which is an organisation that is there to provide equipment to help disability and you can order online. May be worth looking at. manage at home with medequip.
