Members connected over the surprisingly common experience of sudden, unexplained tooth and jaw pain that comes and goes, with many discovering shared patterns they hadn't realized were related to fibromyalgia. Several members identified specific triggers including teeth clenching or grinding during sleep, sinus pressure that radiates to the teeth, and pain that serves as a warning sign for an incoming migraine, with relief strategies including jaw massage, sinus drainage techniques, and awareness of nighttime grinding habits. A recurring theme was the revelation that fibromyalgia can mimic symptoms of other conditions like dental problems or even heart issues, leaving members feeling less alone in their confusing and often misunderstood experiences.

Thanks for the input. I had an entire work up for heart problems a year ago. They found nothing. Everything was normal. My guess is that all the heart symptoms were actually being caused by fibromyalgia. As I indicated in another post, fibromyalgia pain seems to mimic the symptoms of many other chronic disease entities.

Sometimes that can be a sign of a heart problem. Check on those symptoms and see if you have any other as well

Yes my teeth and jaw hurt at times but I realize that I have been in a lot of pain and have been clenching my teeth. That's usually what causes it for me but sometimes my teeth ache like they are full of cavities!

Yes. My teeth ache but I thought it was due to flossing. It never occurred to me that it might be fibromyalgia. It seems like I have many weird symptoms that mimic the more common maladies.

Does grinding ones teeth whilst asleep count? This gives me headaches in the morning if I've been doing this during the night. Very painful.
