I have been seeing the same provider for five years. I've tried Lyrica and Gabapentin. Because a lot of numbness in my hands and feet so I can take them. My doctor gives me Soma and half of a Klonopin at night help me not move so much. I'm on an antidepressant also. My doctor doesn't believe in pain medication he says it makes fibro worse. I have alot of Arthritis with Fibromyalgia. .. so I am going through a pain clinic. I take depression meds and pain meds...
also I think I take s pill for everything very sickening but I wouldnt be able to function without some of those pills I see a rheumotoglist, and a pain management doctor!!
I fee; for you KandisKueblerDeNittol I live with a man who has his problems, he had a big scare of melenoma and now suffers with lyphodema, So he has no compassion for me he says he works all day with his condition puts a roof over my head and because I dont work I should have everything spic and span!!!! So when he comes home from work cuz he is home daily he flopson the couch calls ahead and tells me he is on his way home to have his supper ready then flops on the couch and is there for the rest of the night till it is time to get up and go to work which is all different times of the night and I have to get up and watch the cats so he can get and get his drinks ready and snacks!! So I know how you feel it is awful!!
Also get you an at home tens-unit. They are great.
here in Quebec, we have many associations for the fibromyalgy, and many of them has activitys like aquaform for fibro, stretching, yoga, and painting..many things...and aquaform is the best for muscles and pain, because there is no pressure in water. So I don't know about where you live but maby ask the city if there is a pool you can go with hot water ( around 85 degres), ask a couple of friends and the better thing to do in water is with a safe, like a tube or something to grab, and move your legs about 5 times each set. after do something for your arms, exercises you saw or did before, but in water. try on internet FIBROMYALGY ASSOCIATION, read it ask for exercising somewhere, I think you will find a place.
