A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hi All,

I have had FM for quite a while and only figured it out last year when I was at my wits' end.

I've been on a wide variety of anti-depressants and anti-anxiety medication for years but I have never seen any improvement with myself. If anything, the depression and anxiety has become debilitating. The fatigue is unbelievable. I drag myself to gym in the hopes that is helps end the cycle but nothing has changed!

Lacey I might suggest going to a specialist instead of just your PvP..I don't know what other symptoms you have but if you are having pain in the 18 points you need a rheumatologist, if it feels deeper like muscle, tendon;legament you need a neurologist. If it is your anxiety and depression you need a psychologist.See what I am saying.I don,t understand why he hasn't revered you to any of them yet because he is not a specialist.I would suggest. He send me to a specialist for which everyone is ailing you instead of us I g you as a guinea pig..I mean there are millions of med.'s out there he could TRY you on that wouldn't help..But what would that do but frustrate you. This is just my opinion since I am a nurse. I know how Dr.'s are...

I have been on Effexor for years for chronic depression (chemical). It works for me.Then my pain clinic Dr. Added neurotin and I discovered very fast I have to be very careful with it.It can cause my depression to go off the chart if I take it more than PRN.I have to be very careful.I take 1 Xanax at night for my anxiety.Seems to keep it in check.I found out I have anxiety when I was pregnant with my second child.I have so many of the conditions that come with fibro. IBS,I DID HAVE MIGRAINES TILL I HAD A BREAST REDUCTIONBSKIN CONDITIONSBRAUN
