Fibromyalgia can affect your lungs. I didn't think it did until I started to have more breathing issues. I have had the pain you are describing for weeks now, and I too thought it was muscular, but deep breaths hurt. I think there is so much the condition does/can do to our bodies I tend to research and then end up checking the "it's a fibro thing," box. Xx

Yes it is very painful. I got it front and back, all over. Lasted 5 weeks or so. Its like pleuracy. Take anti inflammatorys. Its inflammation of the cartlidge of the ribs. Costo chondritis.

The Specialist diagnosed me with costochondritis as well as Fibromyalgia. I do have pain breathing, sometimes it gets so bad I can barely speack. They say if it worsens then one should have it checked out.

My breathing affects me when I'm having anxiety attack.
