Members confirmed that fibromyalgia can indeed cause swelling, with the most commonly affected areas being hands, fingers, ankles, feet, and knees, often making it difficult to wear rings or shoes comfortably. Several members described the swelling as painful and occasionally severe enough to interfere with walking, with one member sharing that even water tablets and cardiac testing did not resolve their severe leg and foot swelling. A recurring theme was the frustration of not always knowing the exact cause of the swelling, but finding validation in knowing it is a recognized symptom of fibromyalgia.

My feet swell up terribly so much that a pair of flip flops 2 sizes bigger won't even fit me. The swelling sometime extends up to my thighs .

It's extremely painful and at times difficult to walk.

Was booked in to hospital for cardiac failure but heart is fine and doctors don't know what causes the swelling. Water tablets don't seem to be helping either
