Has cymbalta made anyone tired or drowsy? Loss of energy? I have been on it for a while and I'm worried it's making me extra sleepy/tired

Members shared mixed experiences with Cymbalta, with many reporting significant fatigue, drowsiness, and loss of energy, while others found it ineffective for fibromyalgia pain or mood despite staying on it for years. Several members described troubling side effects that led them to discontinue the medication, including severe nausea, sleep disturbances, dangerous drowsiness while driving, and feeling like they were losing their sanity. A recurring theme was the deeply personal nature of medication responses, with members encouraging the original poster to consult their doctor about tapering off and exploring alternatives like Paxil, amitriptyline, gabapentin, or nortriptyline.

I have been on Cymbalta for a few years. Having tried other meds supposedly for fibro, and experiencing adverse reactions but no help, this is what we settle on. We have 'played' with different dosages. I'm on 60 mg and about to go to 90mg (again). I cannot say conclusively that I have any positive help from Cymbalta as far as my fibro pain is concerned. It's difficult for me because I've had 6 various spinal surgeries which keep me in consistent pain. I take Viibryd to assist the depression. I take minimal doses of hydrocodone/acetaminophine for back pain. I can usually tell the difference between the back pain and a fibro flare. However, since I am in constant pain, my doc allows me to take what I need as I need it. I do not take even close the dosage I'm prescribed. I dislike drugs and would rather tough out the pain whenever possible. Don't know if my answer will be helpful to anyone. We are all so similar in many ways, yet when it comes to treatments, we all respond differently. Maybe someday some brilliant medical professional will discover the magic formula for help.

I used to take the cymbalta and between the fibro and chronic fatigue, if I sat down I went to sleep! Finally when I noticed I didn't remember driving part of a trip, I STOPPED cymbalta! I still get tired, but do not fall asleep like I did. I had to try something else. While I was on the cymbalta it was very hard to wake me if I was sleeping also. It actually scared my mother because she was sitting by me shouting, and I wouldn't wake.
