Guaifenesin
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

Supposedly this can "reverse" fibro. I've read two different books about it written by different doctors who swear by it. Two of which have fibro and use as treatment for themselves. Had anyone else heard of this or tried it?

The Guaifenesin treatment has been around for ages (think I first heard about it in 1997). It doesn't reverse fibro from what I understand of it, but rather supposedly reverses symptoms in a cyclic manner so you have times when it's much worse and times when it's much better. I've talked to some who swore by it and some who said it didn't work at all. Was very controversial for a while back in the late 90s.

What works for some doesn't work for other so be careful in what you do, it could make you feel worse.
