Members connected over a UK television programme called GP's Behind Closed Doors, which airs Wednesdays on Channel 5 and follows real doctor-patient appointments that many found deeply relatable to their own chronic illness experiences. The conversation shifted to sharing personal experiences with pain management patches, including fentanyl, Butrans, lignocaine, and morphine patches, with members describing varying levels of effectiveness, concerns about tolerance and addiction, and frustration that cost or doctor reluctance sometimes prevented access to helpful treatments. A recurring theme was the critical importance of having a supportive and understanding GP, with members expressing that compassionate, knowledgeable doctors make all the difference in navigating complex diagnoses and treatment options.

@A MyFibroTeam Member Hi I always watch this programme but will watch it tonight as I have it recorded. I think its brilliant show. On last weeks one I already diagnosed the young chap with pains in chest/ribcage, I knew by his symptoms that he had costocondritis as I suffer from it. Will get back to you once I have watched last nights episode xxx
