Carpel Tunnel
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

Has anyone had this?

I had nerve testing last year which showed it up in my right but very very mild, so much so I wasn't having any symptoms.

Since October I've had really bad pains in my left arm, wrist, hand and fingers.

Yesterday at about 7pm the tip of my middle finger on my left hand has been numb and tingling. I can't feel touch. I've stabbed it with a needle and can't feel it. I'm back at the doctors on 19th December but wondered if anyone had any tips to cope with the pain and get… read more

@ scfc0161 A number of years ago I was having awful pain in the right hand and wrist. I worked for USPS and of course, had to wade through a lot paperwork to even get them to pay the doc and for prescription. I was put on light duty but had considerable pain. After seeing the doc I had to wait and saw another doc. The next year I went back to the Neurologist and he said he didn't see any difference from the year before. I said, how about comparing them (he should have done that without me asking) and that is when he saw it was getting progressively worse. Still no approval for surgery. I called my bone doctor one night about the pain and told him to just cut my hand off. OK, crazy but he knew then how much pain I was in. I finally had surgery and no problems except that part of the hand will turn purple if I am clapping. It sounds like it could be carpal tunnel but I don't remember mine being that numb. It could be something else as well. Good luck and let us know how your appt. goes.

they put somethings on your hand ! they turn on the machine and little electric pricks you get ! does not hurt they read the paper and can tell if you have it ! i had on both hands ! the Dr said he had never seen it on a house wife ! i had O C D! tooth brushes tooth pic's razor blades i would clean with ! not now ! but any ways i had the surgery a wake due to my seizures risk's to go under ! it just makes your hand feel like it is so big ! they put up a curtain were you can not see and they pull down all the tendons from your shoulder and then sow you up and will put either put a half cast or a full cast on you ! love peace joy and happiness ! always michele

I had it really bad when i was first diagnosed about a year ago. I had it in both arms. I have not had much luck with these Dr's in WV.
I have low potassium and magnesium and i take supplements for this and when i feel numbness i take an extra dose of potassium and magnesium and i feel better.
