Hi, I was wondering what medication you are taking and what meds you feel really helped as I am going to get a medication review from the doctor and I have noticed people are on lots of different things so I wondered if anyone could help please? I currently take tramadol, pregabalin, duloxetine, ibuprofen and amitriptyline. Thank you xx

Members responded to a question about fibromyalgia medications by sharing a wide variety of prescriptions they have found helpful, including tramadol, Effexor, Cymbalta, gabapentin, amitriptyline, hydromorphone, and muscle relaxants, with several noting the difficulty of finding stronger pain relief in today's prescribing climate. Many members expressed curiosity about medical marijuana as an option, with some sharing that it helps with sleep and relaxation, though results vary from person to person. A recurring theme was that fibromyalgia is highly individual, requiring patience and trial-and-error to discover the right combination of medications that work for each person's unique body and pain patterns.

Yes, it is. I've been on so many and so many just don't cut it. I was wondering if anyone has tried the medicinal marijuana for fibro pain now that it's legal?

I take Cymbalta, Flexeril, Hydrocodone 7.5/325, & Ibuprofen. I tried Lyrica, but due to cost & ineffectiveness I stopped taking it. As for marijuana, I can attest to the benefits of use for fibromyalgia - I would honestly much rather use it for my pain management, even though my pharmaceuticals can be helpful sometimes. Each person with fibro experiences different degrees of pain. And everyone has unique body chemistry. Fibro is not a one-size-fits-all disease, we all have to try different methods until we find what gives us the most relief.

Jes01102015 I know how you feel, it sucks! Is just like to feel remotely normal, but then again what is normal? Normal seems a million miles away when you get diagnosed with fibro, well at least for me anyway xx thank you for your help and best of luck to you too xx

I'm on tramadol amitriptyline gabapentin topamax effexor anxiety meds etc.
I found that although not yet fda approved for fibro effexor has shown to help fibro patients with depression but with pain too.
I'm working on trying to get my doctor to give me something stronger then tramadol. It's pretty hard these days. Best of luck

Not everything works for everyone! Also different combinations work for different people. You need to find the right combination of the right medications to work for you.
