I understand that CF/FM is a condition after having thyroid conditions along with stomach bacteria and bacterial flu/pneumonia. To avoid the yearly bronchitis and pneumonia 3x year, I have the pneumonia shot which lasts for 5-7 years. I am no longer hospitalized 3x year. They say that until the gut is remedied of the bacteria, one will continue with FM/CF. Mono from to 70s is another strong factor relating to our disabling disease. Thank God that soc sec believes in FM/CF and disability is available.

@A MyFibroTeam Member the brain tells the nerves to shut down blood supply. That's why you feel nothing in patches or the appendage. As far as spurs the x-ray said nothing but MRI did.

Rudolph's has a ortho support made by Birkin. Helps greatly. Ice and feet up will tame it down. My pain specialist has me on pain mgmnt regiments and therapy. The HOT pool at McKennan helps greatly. Yes.... just so you know many of us get rumetoid arthritis. I've had spurs taken off knees and shoulders. 25+ years of constant pain. Now I have a rare skin condition that hurts and burns. I wouldn't want FM/CF/RSD on anyone. I am sick and tired of being sick and tired. So I see a therapist too. Helps me vent. I've become isolated but am trying hard to come out of my shell.

Yes.... fibro patients get RSD when the extremeties tell the brain that there is trauma and shuts down blood supply. (Due to accident or being on feet too long) The skin becomes thin and swells 3x. Best thing to do is (per my pain and ortho specialists) soak feet in ice cold water in 15 min intervals and put feet above head with pillows.

I often have terrible pain under my heals and down the arches of my feet. They can hurt badly when I go to bed and am just laying there and then if I get up during the night or in the morning they can feel like I am walking on badly bruised feet so I hobble for a while. I too have orthotics in my shoes and they really help me too. This must be a Fibro thing then! 🤔
