I've been having intense bouts of sweating for about 4 months. Drinking coffee is the only trigger I can pinpoint. I get the sweats in cold or hot weather, mostly during the day. I've been in menopause for 8 yrs and really didn't get bad hot flashes then.
Can this be related to fibro? I've only recently been diagnosed w fibro, have had RSD /CRPS for 10 yrs.
Thanks for your help!!

I get these I'm only 30. From my understanding it's because some of us with fibro can't regulate temperature right. I will sit there n sweat buckets while my boyfriend is freezing. It sucks
I seem to sweat a lot I put it down to the fibro wake up soaking most nights x
I too suffer from excessive sweating and I'm fed up with it!! If I do ANYTHING physical I sweat so bad it's embarrassing!! But I also get it sometimes just sitting here but not as often. I go for a walk everyday and sometimes, now that it's fall, I won't start sweating terribly til I get home. I now babysit my grandson and he keeps me busy so I am constantly soaking wet!! My hair is drenched, my clothes and of course it just pours down my face! I too will sometimes carry a towel as it's just too much! I am so embarrassed as it happens even if I just grocery shop so I'm finding I go out less and less in public cause I can't stand it. I am totally fed up with feeling sweaty and clammy so I intend to go to my doctor about it but I doubt there's much he can do. I have found it's gotten worse since I went on amitriptylene but that helps me sleep so I don't want to give that up!! Here's hoping for all of us although I don't think it's gonna help!!!
Excessive sweating is a part of fibro. Best thing I did was figure out my triggers and then try to limit them to one or two a day. One of my triggers is vacuuming and I only have a two bedroom condo apartment. It puts me in a lot of pain and makes me sweat excessively. I put on a tank top, pair of shorts (even in the winter), then I take my time and vacuum. Afterwards I will have a lukewarm epsom salt bath that helps. If the pain is too severe and I can't get in the tub, then unfortunately I have to wait it out. I only vacuum once or twice a week even though I should do it more as I have cats. Sometimes though, I can be enjoying a good book and break out into a massive sweating jag. Mostly I find there are triggers. Hope this helps.
I sweat a lot, too and have to keep a towel by me. The only thing I have pinpointed for sure is when I eat I sweat. I'm in menopause, also.
