I often look terrible and hate to go anywhere when I'm having a flair of FM. People ask me if I'm ok and it embarrasses me. When I'm feeling poorly there is no amount of makeup that will make me look healthy. I wondered if anyone else has this problem.

Yes,there are days that I look older than others.I think a lot of it has to do with chronic pain and fatigue.I'm also pale and can't see to put makeup on.I try to think of some good things about me but do kind of have a poor self esteem.I'm single and forgot about a man. With all the problems I couldn't handle it.I also think chronic fatigue and pain contributes to how we look.I'll be 62 tomorrow. My mind thinks a lot younger than my body looks.I guess I look at it as I'm fortunate to be able to walk, drive.help my mom, cook, clean and live independently.I also pray to the Lord to help me day by day.
People are to busy with their own life, I don't know if normal or sad. Not only do my nails, I have my art journaling, coloring, and my war bible. I try to do one a day, end the day of you tube, watching how they do nails, studying the way the way some color it's amazing! ! Watching some bible study, to see if there is something I'm missing.
Did you ever hit the nail on the head with this question ! Yesterday I was at the pharmacy waiting for my "monthly cocktails" and another woman praised another on how great her makeup looked. It was then that I thought "I haven't worn any since the big move" and I had to look scary ! Fibro has changed my face so much (like pain is always etched on my face now) ,that the makeup doesn't hide the pain but it makes me feel better. So today if nothing more , I'm putting on some eyeliner and mascara.... just for me.

Been thinking about this bothering you if sometimes you said that you don't look your best on bad days & I think it's great you actually were out! That takes tremendous strength & that's admirable and more beautiful to me💕 We see photos of actresses/models when they don't look their best. No one looks good all the time. You are my beautiful hero for being out in so much pain because you had to be 💕
I think that rest and finding the silver lining in every day helps keep the mind stimulated and young, thus converting some of that positivism to the facial muscles. Accepting what is and not fighting the pain has become a learning tool for me to cope with other situations as well.
