Thumb Pushing On My Adams Apple?
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

So lately I have been having an odd feeling in my throat. It's like someone is pushing there thumb down on my Adams apple? It's not there all the time but a few times though out the day. It does last a while. Does anyone else ever have this?? If yes how do you deal with it?

Thanks everyone

I have esophageal spasms. That really hurts. I have the pain up high and down to about the breasts. It clamps so hard. I used to be able to lie down and relax and it would go away after a few minutes. Then it got worse and would not, stop. I accidentally found that sipping a cold drink released the spasm. Try it.

I find I have problems in any area where the muscles may be contracting and affecting nerves. Sometimes I get this weird spasm in my throat near my Adam's apple and it feels like I am going to choke. I stretch it and massage the area and it usually goes away. If you can see a massage therapist they may be able to help you relax the muscles in that area which may be causing spasms. Good luck!

Yeah, ugh, get thoat problems like that and it worries me. I focus on cutting anything that causes acid reflux because I think it is a Fibro response to that.
